Andreja Trobec
Born in Slovenia, I grew up imagining a world in peace, dreaming of speaking a lot of languages, learning about different cultures and travelling. As of today, I am able to communicate in 6 languages and being able to use them makes me feel closer to various communities around me.
Since 2005 I lived and worked in Italy, Australia and France. In the meantime I became a mother of two precious kids and since 2015 we are well settled in Knoxfield, close to the lush green Dandenong Ranges area.
My photography journey started in Italy in 2009 when I started working for a Photo Agency in Turin. I worked for them for about a year and did a lot of sport, some wedding and event photography. In my spare time I was out and about shooting smaller music concerts, landscapes, portraits and reportage.
In 2011 I had my firstborn, gorgeous boy and then my gorgeous girl followed in 2014. During those years I did a lot of family photography for us, lots of baby shots and a few times I would do it for other families that I met on the way. I even managed to do 2 weddings for two dear friends; the first one while I was pregnant and the second one while my baby girl was just 1 year old, still breastfeeding. I just could not help it. My camera was always with me and still is today.
In 2019 I started my new Terra Art business in Melbourne and I have put together fascinating mirrored images from photos taken in nature. From this project a set of 10 Greeting cards and 5 Gift wrapping papers was created. From the same series Peaceful vibrations project was born and the creations have been exposed in a few exhibitions. Prints of that work are also available for purchase.
